Computer manufacturers make security updates available on a regular basis. It's important that you regularly install these updates to resolve any vulnerabilities on your device. ITS staff regularly pushes updates to college-owned desktop and laptop computers. This causes pop-up notifications which you should respond to. We also recommend that you reboot your computers regularly (at least every week or so) to make sure updates are being applied.
If you have a computer that hasn't been turned on in a while, or you have a personally-owned device that is not managed by the college, we suggest that you regularly check for and install updates.
