This process, that was called "Course meta-linking" in Moodle, will add your students from one of your sections to another. This is helpful when you are teaching multiple sections of the same class, but don't want to update all sections individually.
Getting Started
Navigate to the section you do not want to use. In that section, click on "Settings".
Then, select "Sections" from the row of tabs, and click on your specific course section.
Click on "Cross-List this Section".
*** Note, if your screen is narrow enough, the webpage will put the
"Cross-List this Section" button underneath your enrolled users. ***
Search for your other section(s) of the course, and select them. Then click "Cross-List This Section".
After you click "Cross-List This Section", notice that you automatically go to the the other section of your course.
If you go back to your "Dashboard", you'll notice the section(s) you don't want to use no longer exist on your dashboard.
To ensure the "Cross-Listing" worked, go ahead and click on the "People" link in the course navigation column.
