In Canvas, instructors have the ability to manage how and when grades are shared with students. By default, Canvas automatically releases grades to students as soon as they are entered. However, instructors may prefer to manually control the release of grades for various reasons, such as ensuring consistency across a course, finalizing feedback, or coordinating grade releases with other assignments.
The option to manually release grades allows instructors to hide grades temporarily and release them all at once when they are ready. This feature provides greater flexibility and control over the grading process, ensuring students receive complete and accurate feedback at the appropriate time.
