What is proxy access?
Proxy access allows St. Norbert College students to authorize a parent, guardian, or other individual to view specific confidential records—such as billing statements, financial aid awards, grades, and more.
If the student sets a passphrase, the proxy may also speak with St. Norbert College staff about the records they’ve been granted access to.
Please note: Proxies can only access the specific information the student has authorized.
Instructions for using your authorized KnightLine proxy pages:
1. When an SNC student designates you as a proxy, you’ll receive an email with login instructions and a temporary password. Click the link in the email to access your account. If you need to copy and paste the link, make sure to include the entire URL.

3. Once logged in you will see a block for each SNC member who has authorized pages for you to access.
4. Use the "Select to view" option to see the list of screens you are able to access. The student may also choose to email you a summary of the screens available to you.
Note: Some sections are grouped together—for example, selecting any Financial Aid screen will display all Financial Aid screens assigned to your account.
To return to the home page at any time, click "KnightLine" at the top of the screen.
Note: If the student chooses to use a passphrase—a unique code word or phrase they assign—another email will be sent to you with that information. The passphrase is required for you (the proxy) to have verbal conversations with any St. Norbert College office regarding the student’s information.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I access the KnightLine proxy login?
Your initial proxy access email included a unique URL and a temporary password. Use that link to set up your account and access the KnightLine proxy login page.
If you've already created a permanent password, go to www.snc.edu/knightline and select Proxy Login (Parent).
I can’t remember my password. What do I do?
There are two ways to manage this issue:
- Select the Forgot Password on the Proxy Access Login page. This will immediately send an email to you with the login instructions and temporary password.
- You can contact your student to have them select reset password.
My email address is changing. What do I do?
You can update your email address by selecting Proxy Personal Information. After you submit the change, an email will be sent to both your old and new email addresses.
To complete the update, follow the instructions in the email sent to your new address. The email sent to your old address provides an option to cancel the change if it wasn't authorized.
How can I find out what the student I am a proxy for has authorized me to see?
Once logged in, click on your student’s name tab to view the pages they have authorized you to access.
Why can’t I see certain information or expected items in KnightLine?
The student controls which information you can view as a proxy. If you were expecting to see additional items or no longer have access to information, please contact the student directly.
I am a proxy for more than one student. Why can I see different things on each student?
Each student has the ability to grant access to their proxy based on their preferences. It’s possible that your access differs between students.
I am a proxy for more than one student. How can I see each student’s information in KnightLine?
For each student who has designated you as a proxy, you’ll see a block in KnightLine with their name. By clicking on the name tab, you can view the items that student has authorized you to access.
I am a proxy for more than one student. How can I tell which student’s information I am looking at?
Not all screens display the student’s information directly. In such cases, you’ll need to remember which student’s block you selected to access the screen. If you’re unsure, click on KnightLine and start over to ensure you're viewing the correct student's information.
